The Graduate (Grad) Studies Office is responsible for creating an environment that supports graduate students and their work so that they can make a positive contribution to the field and society.
The Grad Studies Office consists of the Director of Graduate Studies, the Associate Director of Graduate Studies, and the Graduate Program Support & Events Specialist.

Committees

Graduate Studies Advisory Committee (GSAC)
Identifies initiatives and strategies to improve the graduate student experience, program quality, and the development/revision of policies and procedures impacting graduate students.
Members include the DGS (chair), ADGS, GPSES, a faculty representative from each area, and student representatives.
Review GSAC meeting agendas and notes by academic year.
Graduate Student Liaison Committee (GSLC)
GSLC members are responsible for acting as liaisons between their area’s graduate students and the department administration, bringing concerns to the department, coordinating area events during graduate recruitment, and assisting with other events that involve the department’s graduate students.
Members include a student representative from each area, chair(s) of the committee, an international student representative, the Psychology liaison to the Council of Graduate Students (COGS), and the student representative on Psychology’s Gender Climate Committee.

Graduate Services Committee (GSC)
The purpose of the group is to share best practices related to student and administrative support; collaborate on initiatives to improve efficiency and efficacy of area support as well as initiatives to improve graduate student experiences and well-being; and build greater capacity with alumni relations.
Members include area support staff members, the chief of staff, and graduate student services staff members.
