In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to effectively use rubrics and answer keys to save time and be more consistent in their grading. Bring a problem set of your own to the workshop to make this workshop even more useful.

September Pedagogical Innovations Journal Club
In the article, Inclusive teaching, the authors introduce an evidence-based guide for inclusive teaching, which they define as an intentional practice of recognizing and working to mitigate biases that lead to marginalization or exclusion of some people. The recommendation begins with developing self-awareness and empathy for our students as a precursor to developing a welcoming environment. They provide strategies and recommendations for creating a positive classroom climate, choosing appropriate pedagogical strategies, and leveraging existing support networks to help all students succeed. This article also serves as useful background reading for the rest of the articles in this series.

Class climate is the way it feels for students to be in a class, in-person or online. The emotional and social tone of a class affects learning. This webinar introduces a framework for inclusive teaching that promotes learning for all students while recognizing students' differential experiences of the University. Participants will learn strategies for promoting a healthy class climate; methods of getting feedback on class climate; and discuss responding to unhealthy class climate dynamics.

The Canvas Clinic is an opportunity for faculty and instructors to get hands-on support and consultation as they work on Canvas course sites. Staff from Information Technology (IT), Library Services,
