This engaging 90-minute session is designed for UMN instructors/faculty interested in gaining competencies relevant to peer review requirements, and specifically for those who may soon undergo (or are currently involved in) a peer review without a current unit/departmental peer review system in place. Participants will examine and gain competencies to apply effective peer review processes and observation basics needed to complete a peer review within their specific setting.

Faculty, instructors, postdocs and graduate students in STEM disciplines will convene to discuss the 2019 book, Talking About Leaving Revisited: Persistence, Relocation, and Loss in Undergraduate STEM Education. Participants will review research data presented in the book and identify changes that are most likely to help improve student retention in STEM. We will meet monthly from January until May but you only need to register for the January section.

Get personalized help setting up your Canvas courses for the Spring 2022 semester from the comfort of your own home! The Canvas Clinic is an opportunity for faculty and instructors to get hands-on support and consultation as they work on Canvas course sites. Staff from Information Technology (IT), Library Services, TeachingSupport@UMN, and academic technologists from system campuses, will be on hand to help with start-of-semester tasks and course planning assistance. Topics include setting up course sites, creating activities and assessments, and integrating media or other course resources into Canvas.
